Styxx

So today, finally I finished Styxx. This 800+ page novel was immense, an emotional rollercoaster! At times I had to stop just to keep a hold of myself when on public transport (for example) and prevent tears. It was better than Acheron, which is the partner book that shows the other side of all the events. This was powerful, a lesson in humility, humbleness, forgiveness.

Styxx is the twin brother of Acheron. Acheron hates him, for wrongs done to him in his human life. Little does he know that his brother had it worse than he did (and he had a bad life!) Styxx has many secrets that he has kept from Acheron, from everyone, these slowly unravel and I came to love Styxx and I had some admonishment and disgust for Acherons behaviour. I am glad he has Tory to help keep him on the straight and narrow.

I think this may be my favourite Dark-Hunter novel yet. Definitely a hefty read that I didn’t want to put down at 1am! It mixes the Greek pantheon with the Egyptian which we haven’t had too much involvement with so that was a great experience. Particularly as they are my two favourite historical periods.
